Claiming unsurpassed flexibility in scale of synthesis and a hundred-fold range of reaction volumes with set-up of up to 60 vials at a time
Personal Chemistry announces Emrys Optimiser with dynamic volume capability allowing users to synthesise compounds in reaction volumes between 0.2-20ml, a dynamic range of 100x.
The system uses an intuitive software menu giving full support for several individual users.
Vials can be chosen independently and run in sequence - independent of scale - without any manual changes to the instrument.
The increase in throughput is exponential to alternative chemistry approaches.
The system will allow set-up of 1-60 vials at one time, allowing complete operator flexibility and safety as chemistry can be conveniently scaled from mg - g, without any system change.
This capability is available on new instruments or, as a separate field upgrade for older models.
A user can have 10g of a compound ready in just two hours.
EVP of worldwide sales Scott Carr states, "this advancement in our technology has raised the bar for microwave assisted synthesis platforms and its use will become wide spread.
Between our current installed base and anticipated orders we would expect this improved functionality to be used in hundreds of our systems by the end of 2003.
In the past months we have experienced sales growth of 65% over previous year.
With this new capability and our recently launched knowledge products we expect to continue growing our market share in the pharma and biotech sectors". For the challenging and flexible environment of lead compound development chemists, all Emrys instruments share the batch reaction format, the only platform to support full chemistry diversity, without limits in either scope or scale.
