The Ultrasound Department at Withybush General Hospital in Pembrokeshire has expanded and chosen Philips Ultrasound instruments again.
Christine Swann, superintendent radiographer at Withybush, explained: "One of our machines was ready for replacement, and we decided to choose Philips again because we already have an HDI 5000 and like working with the equipment, it is very user friendly with good quality images." "We use the equipment for general abdominal, obstetrics and gynaecological, vascular, small part examinations and now, with the new equipment, we have undertaken some musculoskeletal work. You can obtain brilliant detail on the shoulders and lower limbs. We are especially pleased with a new children's abdominal probe and a small head curve liner probe for use on neonates.
All the probes are easy to handle and Sono CT is very good for abdominal and paediatric work." "We are more than satisfied with Philips.
