PharmaCore has hired Joseph Miller as vice president of chemistry.
In addition to managing the daily activities of the company, Miller oversees the technical programmes of PharmaCore which comprise the development of molecular building blocks, custom synthesis projects (including cGMP), and contract research.
The staff of 25 employees managed by Miller includes 20 chemists, 16 of whom hold PhDs.

Previously, Miller held various positions of increasing responsibility within chemical research and development for a number of companies, including Procter and Gamble, Ethyl, Henkel, Exxon, and Catalytica-DSM.
Miller obtained his PhD from the University of California, Davis, in 1982 under the direction of Professor George Zweifel and then spent the next two years as a postdoctoral associate with Professor Ei-ichi Negishi at Purdue University.
