"No other site on the net deals primarily with blood gas," explains Anne Skurup, editor of bloodgas.org.
"In addition to articles by field experts, the site enables healthcare professionals to share real-life experiences and recommendations on how they deal with matters affecting their everyday work.
This makes the website a valuable healthcare resource." The content of bloodgas.org is divided into four information tracks: Technology, Quality assurance, Point-of-care testing, and Other topics.
Quality assurance at the point of care, reduction of preanalytical errors, and optimization of information management systems are just some of the topics users can expect to find on the new site.
For many years, Radiometer has been involved in knowledge-based activities.
According to Anne Skurup, sharing knowledge is an important part of the company's role as a blood gas expert.
