Rietschle is introducing a breakdown service which will guarantee a site visit by a service engineer, at any hour of the day, anywhere in the UK, and within three hours of a reported pump breakdown
Following a market research study of its pump customer database, Rietschle (UK) Ltd., is introducing a 24-hour Gold Breakdown Service.
This rapid response system will guarantee a site visit by a factory-trained service engineer, at any hour of the day, anywhere in the UK, and within three hours of a reported pump breakdown.
Managing director Noel West said that the new service would cover all makes of vacuum pump and compressor, not simply those manufactured by Rietschle.
"Our field engineers already service as many of our competitors' vacuum pumps as they do our own.
We are happy to take responsibility for all pumps on a site." The Gold Breakdown Service package has its own free phone number, which guarantees an immediate response from a duty service manager.
It will be available at an annual cost of £250.00, or as a free upgrade to customers opting for Rietschle's Pumpcare Plus pump maintenance service.
Under the company's standard Silver Breakdown Service, customers are also offered a 24-hour backup service, with advice and help from an engineer - not an answering machine.
The Silver Service is free of charge to all customers, and guarantees a next-day response from a service engineer.
Rietschle believes that it is the only company in its field to offer such considerable service flexibility, but the need to differentiate these offerings was highlighted by market research.
Responses from existing vacuum pump and compressor customers varied from a lack of awareness to downright scepticism, about what was meant by 24-hour service.
