New scientific information management consultant will advise clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and petrochemical industries on information management in the laboratory
Scientific information management consultancy Scimcon has appointed Andy Ford as a consultant.
Andy will advise Scimcon's clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and petrochemical industries on information management in the laboratory.
This will include counsel on IS (Information Systems) strategy, regulatory compliance and laboratory information management systems (Lims) - IT systems to manage all of the complex information held in a laboratory.
A chemistry graduate, Ford joins Scimcon from Flexsys (formerly Monsanto), where he spent nearly 14 years in various lab and IT management roles.
At Flexsys he was responsible for setting up and managing successful Lims projects in the UK, France, Italy, and Malaysia.
On his appointment at Scimcon, Andy says: "I'm really looking forward to using my hands-on lab experience to help our customers at Scimcon.
Having been on the other side of the fence as a user implementing laboratory systems, I'm confident I'll be able to add value to our customer base and the company as a whole."
