The SL151 is specifically designed to monitor temperature sensitive products such as food, pharmaceuticals and blood products during transportation or processing.
The robust tag, which carries an unconditional 12 month warranty, is manufactured from food grade polystyrene.
The unit is fully portable and uses a patented inductive data transfer technology for set up and fast down-loading of data.
As a result, there are no external plugs or sockets to cause reliability problems or harbour bacteria.
With food safety and quality high on the public agenda, the SL151 is designed to travel directly with food and provides a detailed time and date temperature profile over a measurement range from-30C to +60C. These data can then be used to highlight any problems which may have occurred throughout a specific journey or process.
A convenient through-hole allows the tags to be security-sealed to a specific consignment.
The tags are ideal for multiple journey routines where products are transported in several stages and by different modes of transport.
The data loggers are housed in fully IP68 sealed, crevice free, robust food grade polystyrene tags only 10mm thick and powered by long-life internal batteries. The 151T can be set to record at intervals from 30 seconds to 100 hours.
With an internal capacity of 16000 readings, the unit can keep recording for more than four years! The delayed start feature can be set to coincide with a particular travel schedule. Comprehensive and user friendly Windows software provides a simple set-up procedure and the units can be programmed with the manifest details such as vehicle number, driver, destination, ship name, consignment number and container number.
The manifest is split into two blocks with different levels of access.
The Master level has full password security in line with FDA requirements and allows the owner of the tag to set up and access data.
The Slave level allows the user limited access to non-critical information and functionality.
Stored data are easily downloaded via the base unit to a PC or laptop and can be displayed graphically or saved in a standard spread sheet format. Two LEDs indicate the status of the unit during and after logging.
A red light indicates that the unit has seen temperature excursions outside the preset limits for a preset time interval, while the green light indicates that no problems have been encountered.
Data are stored in such a way that information cannot subsequently be altered to disguise what actually happened.
