Sensor Technology Information Exchange provides a forum for the communication and exchange of information related to the application, development, and use of sensors
The Sensor Technology Information Exchange (Sentix) website provides a forum for the communication and exchange of information related to the application, development, and use of today's high-tech sensors.
The newly-revamped Sentix focuses primarily on sensors used in environmental cleanup, and includes information from diverse, but related technical fields such as medical monitoring instruments, aerospace, electronic, transportation, and telecommunications.
Sentix is a free-for-use, dynamic tool useful for researchers, developers, and environmental professionals.
The strength of Sentix is the searchable database of sensor-related information.
Users can search the database for news, research, reports, events and commercially available sensor technologies.
Searches can be narrowed by analyte, media, environment and technology type.
The searchable database also provides a quick and easy way to access reference information, including hyperlinks to websites, journal citations, and contact information.
Professors, researchers, and professionals and others leading the field in sensor technology are welcome to participate in the growth and expansion of Sentix. Sensor related research, reports, news, and events can be submitted.
Sentix is funded through a cooperative agreement between WPI, a non-profit corporation affiliated with Virginia Tech, and the US Environmental Protection Agency.
