Syngene, a manufacturer of image analysis solutions, presented its most up-to-the-minute image analyser range at Biotechnica 2003.
Designed to suit all budgets and applications, the systems will appeal to scientists that need superior performance and ease of use.
Syngene introduced GeneFlash, its new concept gel documentation system.
Comprising a benchtop darkroom with integrated digital camera, coupled with the latest flash card technology and colour LCD screen, GeneFlash combines affordability with accuracy.
Also on show was the GeneGnome HR, high resolution, dedicated chemiluminescent image analyser, the newest addition to the internationally acclaimed GeneGnome family.
Using state-of-the-art chip technology, GeneGnome HR's unrivalled 1300 by 1030 megapixel capacity automatically separates even the closest bands or spots with ease, greatly improving the precision of results.
To complement GeneFlash and GeneGnome HR, Syngene exhibited its top of the range GeneGenius Super12 high resolution gel documentation system and ChemiGenius2 analyser, for fluorescent and chemiluminescent applications.
Both systems have a compact light tight darkroom with a built in transilluminator.
Also included are an integrated high performance camera linked to a computer and powerful GeneTools software, for instant image capture and analysis, a real benefit for users wanting rapid results.
Paul Ellwood, Syngene's sales and marketing director, commented: "Any scientist visiting the Syngene stand at Biotechnica had an excellent choice of the best value image analysers currently on the market.
"From recording basic gel images to performing the most sophisticated gel or blot analysis, we believe that the Syngene systems provide even the most budget conscious laboratory with an expert solution for their research needs."
