Thermo LabSystems announces that a number of significant new software innovations will make their debut at Pittcon 2002 March 17-22, New Orleans, USA.
With the availability of these new solutions alongside its Atlas chromatography solution and its Nautilus and SampleManager LIMS, Thermo LabSystems offers the most comprehensive, integrated, single-vendor laboratory informatics solution available.
Thermo LabSystems' exhibit at Pittcon will form part of the Thermo Electron Booth 3547.
Among the highlights of Thermo LabSystems exhibit will be the following.
eRecordManager.
The first time at PittCon, this new software includes a wealth of functionality for addressing the long-term data archival and knowledge management requirements of all science-based industries.
Through a unique library of over 150 powerful file converters that automatically generate XML versions of the data, the archived information can be viewed on virtually any platform long into the future without using the original instrument software.
When storing analytical instrument data in XML, eRecordManager makes use of a public domain XML schema known as Generalised Analytical Mark Language (GAML).
With the use of Thermo Galactic's Grams solution, spectral data in any original format can be reprocessed without the requirement for the original instrument system and hardware to be installed.
eRecordManager will also be demonstrated in association with technologies from sister Thermo Electron businesses, including Thermo Nicolet and Thermo Finnigan. StudyManager.
StudyManager is an advanced multi-dimensional study management software product designed to support a range of study-based environments, including stability, clinical, DMPK and bio-analytical applications.
The release of this new system is anticipated to generate particular interest in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and food and beverage industries. StudyManager's multi-dimensional structure will allow, for example, multiple conditions to be combined together in order to produce a schedule of analysis.
In a simple stability model for example, StudyManager will handle data on storage condition, container and time-point.
The product has been developed with customers as part of a JAD (Joint Application Development) programme as a standalone solution.
Its design allows seamless integration with both Thermo LabSystems' Nautilus and SampleManager LIMS products.
Pittcon 2002 attendees will also have the opportunity on Booth 3547 to discuss their requirements with members of Thermo LabSystems' Pathfinder informatics services specialists in the areas of eServices, system validation, 21CFR Part 11 compliance and system migration.
