Thermo LabSystems announces the availability of the latest version of its award-winning chromatography data system (CDS), Atlas 2001, with improved functionality
This release of Atlas CDS includes a host of significant advances in functionality, including control for the Agilent 1100 liquid chromatograph and a new version of the Atlas Report Manager. These enhancements are designed to significantly boost operator productivity through increased automation of laboratory processes, powerful flexibility and improved user-friendliness. Atlas Report Manager 2001 includes a new method editor, multiple method support, new graphing support, plus a series of functions to assist in assembling layout creation and report content.
Atlas Report Manager includes a comprehensive range of features for single injection, summary reporting and statistical reporting.
A powerful macro language exists in Atlas that can handle virtually any type of custom calculation, from simple single line expressions to complex routines.
Control for the Agilent 1100 utilises the Atlas DataServer control device released at the end of 2001.
Atlas 2001 supports control of the Agilent 1100 quaternary pump, VWD, thermo-statted and non-thermo-statted autosampler, column heater and degasser.
Other highlights of Atlas 2001 include support for multiple methods and run times in a workbook.
Methods can be set on a per-sample basis for the instrument method (data acquisition and control), the integration method, the calibration method (which also contains the components to identify) and the reporting method.
Support for the Japanese and European pharmacopoeias.
New HTML on-line help. Multiple levels of workbook authorisation.
Enhanced baseline editing and snapshots.
Further improvements in system network resilience.
This release follows the launch of Atlas Archival earlier this year.
This integrated archival and database capability for Atlas, based on the company's eRecordManager product, allows the easy storage, search, retrieval, viewing and manipulation of raw data, method details and results from Atlas, with no requirement for the Atlas application to be installed at the workstation.
Atlas is a modern chromatography data system focused on delivering laboratory productivity by adapting to laboratory workflow and offering improved ease of use.
Its design means it is highly scaleable and as applicable for single workstations as it is for networked laboratories with multiple users and channels.
Atlas facilitates full compliance with the 21 CFR Part 11 Rule on electronic signatures and records.
