Integration software provides interface between laboratory information management system and leading process industry information management system
Thermo LabSystems has produced a new brochure describing SM-IP21, a standard integration software for the interfacing of its SampleManager enterprise Lims (Laboratory Information Management) and Aspen Technology's Infoplus21 information management system.
Respectively, these products are market leaders in laboratory and process information management.
SM-IP21 is installed worldwide in plant and manufacturing sites in the petrochemical, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. The new brochure provides readers with a comprehensive overview of how SM-IP21 provides plant engineers with automated real-time access to off-line analytical testing performed in quality control laboratories.
It outlines the latest enhancements to SM-IP21 in the areas of system configuration and transaction types that, Thermo claims, "enable customers to better understand and optimise plant production." SM-IP21 has been developed by Thermo LabSystems' business partner, Orbis Information Systems, an Irish-based systems integrator specialising in the integration of plant and laboratory applications into the wider enterprise.
First released in 1998, SM-IP21 is designed to overcome the challenges facing large manufacturing organisations in integrating the information flow between their real-time process systems and their off-line analytical testing groups.
The new SM-IP21 brochure is available free-of-charge worldwide.
