2002 version includes a series of new features to offer improved instrument control and ease of use
Thermo LabSystems announces the release of 2002 version of Atlas chromatography data system (CDS).
Atlas 2002 includes a series of new features to offer improved instrument control and ease of use.
The new version covers the following functional enhancements over the previous version (Atlas 2001 R1): Control of the Agilent 5890 and 6890 from Atlas DataServers (via RS232), with the capability for monitoring signal noise/drift without the requirement to initiate a run; Enhanced control for the Agilent 1100, including status monitoring which displays chromatogram signal output and module actuals in real time, prior to a run commencing; Status monitoring of the Agilent 1100 VWD, DAD and RID detectors.
This functionality permits baseline monitoring, together with module actual values in real time; Control of A2D DataServer instruments includes status monitoring; Customisable toolbars and instrument icons in Atlas Instrument Manager; Instrument in/out of calibration and in/out of service status; Executing instrument methods before and after an acquisition sequence; Quick Start Workbook per instrument; User Credential Authentication is a new field in the Atlas 'Configure User' dialog for user preferences file location and support for authentication of user credentials through an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) server, including Active Directory Services; Addition of a specific audit when modifying a run.
Atlas 2002 R1 will be supported on the following configurations: Client: Windows XP, NT 4.0 (Intel), 98/ME and 2000.
Server: Windows NT 4.0 (Intel), Terminal Server NT SP5 and 2000, with Citrix Metaframe 1.8.
Atlas is a modern chromatography data system focused on delivering laboratory productivity by adapting to laboratory workflow and offering improved ease of use.
Its design means it is highly scaleable and as applicable for single workstations as it is for networked laboratories with multiple users and channels.
Atlas facilitates full compliance with the FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 Ruling on electronic signatures and records.
