Latest informatics advances to be showcased at the giant US show, being held at Orlando, Florida, on 10-13 March 2003
Thermo LabSystems will be exhibiting new developments with its suite of solutions at two separate booths at Pittcon, 10-13 March 2003.
In addition to space on the Thermo Electron booth, Thermo LabSystems will also be exhibiting at the adjoining Laboratory Informatics 2003 exposition.
Pittcon 2003 is being held at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida, USA.
Pittcon attendees should note that, along with its sister business Thermo Galactic, the company will be exhibiting for the first time as Thermo Electron Informatics.
On its two booths, Thermo will be presenting the latest versions of its two leading Lims products, Nautilus and SampleManager, the eRecordManager solution for long-term analytical data archival and knowledge management, Atlas CDS (chromatography data system), and the Grams/AIT desktop spectroscopy product suite.
Through interfacing these systems to optimise automation in the laboratory, Thermo claims to offer the most comprehensive, integrated, single-vendor laboratory informatics solution available.
At Pittcon 2002 held in New Orleans, eRecordManager won gold in the Pittcon Editors' Award.
This prestigious accolade is given to the best new product introduction as judged by a panel of editors.
This year, Thermo will highlight a new public domain XML (eXtensible Markup Language) schema known as Gaml (generalised analytical mark language), which its eRecordManager solution utilises when archiving analytical instrument data in XML.
Atlas CDS will also be demonstrated working with Thermo Finnigan GC and LC instruments.
Attracting over 23,000 registrants in total last year, Pittcon is one of the world's largest annual expositions for analytical instrument and laboratory equipment. The Laboratory Informatics 2003 exposition is a first at Pittcon and results from a partnership agreement between the Pittcon organising committee and Lims Institute.
Laboratory Informatics 2003 will include four symposia, contributed paper sessions, and the special area within the main exhibition hall where laboratory informatics exhibitors will be grouped together.
Thermo Electron Informatics representatives will also be presenting an impressive total of twenty technical papers at Pittcon 2003.
As an acknowledged global leader in laboratory informatics, Thermo is well positioned to present authoritatively on a wide variety of issues relating to data management and automated processes in the laboratory.
Thermo Labsystems will be on booths 3769 and 4359 at Pittcon.
