Improved price/performance ration claimed for USB data acquisition device delivering sample rates of 50kS/s, eight analogue input channels, and up to 12-bit resolution
Measurement Computing's acclaimed Personal Measurement Device brand has set a new standard for plug-and-play acquisition of measurement data to a PC, says Adept.
The new PMD-1208FS - the latest in this range of highly capable yet budget-priced USB devices - delivers sample rates of 50kS/s, and offers eight analogue input channels, up to 12-bit resolution, two D/A outputs and 16 DIO bits, all for just GBP100.
An even faster version of the popular PMD-1208LS - a recent winner of Desktop Engineering magazine's Readers' Choice Award - the PMD-1208FS (like all the Personal Measurement Device range) comes in a compact, modern design with easily accessible screw terminals for connecting signal sources.
The price includes a generous offering of ready-to-run software, including a strip chart recorder and data logger which directly writes to Microsoft Excel files, SoftWire, a graphical programming interface to Visual Studio.Net; and Universal Library software drivers for Windows-based programming languages and for LabView.
Other devices in the low-cost PMD range include 16-bit analogue input and 24-bit digital I/O models.
OEM versions are also available.
