New product innovation centre will house world-class development laboratories and product evaluation laboratory facilities, all under one roof, along with 'creativity rooms'
COSi, a product developer and manufacturer of personal care and colour cosmetics, has commenced construction of its new product innovation centre in the UK.
Opening summer 2005, the new 700,000 euro centre, employing 20 research and development managers, technical managers, development scientists and micro-biologists, will house world-class development laboratories and product evaluation laboratory facilities, all under one roof.
In addition there will be creativity rooms displaying the most promising trends in current and conceptual materials and components from suppliers around the world.
"This world-class facility will be the epicentre of collaborative product development between COSi and many renowned experts in cosmetics and toiletries.
"COSi's Innovation Centre will set a new standard in innovative product development," claimed COSi's technical director Dave Tashjian.
The state of the art R and D laboratories will incorporate the latest tools and technologies for development, measurement and testing as well as a comprehensive pilot facility to ensure seamless scale-up into production.
The innovation rooms will provide the ideal environment in which customers and product development teams can brainstorm and generate ideas and concepts surrounded by the latest materials, components, concepts and information from around the world.
