Colin Booth, vice president science and technology at Oxoid, will be one of the speakers at the Validation of Microbiological Test Procedures course organised by the European Compliance Academy in cooperation with Concept Heidelberg, to be held in Prague 20-22 April 2005.

The first of Booth's presentations, entitled Biological Reference Organisms/Bioindicators, will inform delegates about pharmacopoeial reference organisms and bioindicators, culture collections and the long and short-term methods of culture preservation.
In Efficacy of Antimicrobial Preservation, he will describe test organisms, preparation of inoculum, procedures and the criteria for acceptance as well as comparison of European pharmacopoeia/USP.
