Viscotek has announced the recruitment of Sebastien Rouzeau to support its expanding business operations in France
Sebastien Rouzeau received his PhD in polymer materials science from the Laboratoire des Materiaux Macromoleculaires from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquees de Lyon (Insa-Lyon) and his master's degree in polymer science from Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie de Montpellier (ENSCM).
Fluent in several European languages, Rouzeau previously has worked in a variety of research positions for Insavalor, the Cray Valley Research Centre, and Arkema.
Based out of Irigny near Lyon, the office headed by Sandrine Olivier, has generated strong growth in sales to polymer, pharmaceutical and biotech customers across France.
Speaking about the expanding French operation Paul Clarke (MD, Viscotek Europe) commented: "the recruitment of Dr Rouzeau in France is directly in line with our commitment to provide an unmatched level of service to customers across Europe.
"Our strong new product pipeline promises to continue the growth in sales we have had from innovative products including the GPCmax, OmniSec software and the low angle light scattering (Lals) detector for the triple detector array introduced over the last few years".
Viscotek says its triple detection systems, which employ a concentration detector, viscometer and light scattering detector operating in concert, are today the defacto standard for the characterisation of natural and synthetic polymers and proteins in the chemical, food, academic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.
European sales now represent more than one third of Viscotek's global turnover.
