Steve Kingdom, global business manager for KTL, has been elected president of the DSL Forum, the international industry consortium for the development of broadband DSL technologies
Since joining the DSL Forum in 1999, Steve Kingdom has actively participated in the development of DSL interoperability standards, the development of the DSL Forum independent test lab programme, and the development of the DSL Forum European logo programme.
He was elected onto the board of directors in 2003, where he has chaired the finance and audit committee and led several strategic initiatives of the board.
"This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of technology, pushing for higher standards and driving new levels of interoperability" says Kingdom.
"Along with more focus on consumer electronics, remote management and the latest flavours of DSL, I am looking forward to seeing an increase in high-quality, global DSL penetration as we strive towards the 2010 goal of 500 million DSL subscribers."
