Moisture exchangers use Nafion membrane tubing to exchange water vapour between the gas stream and the surrounding atmosphere, creating equilibrium
The latest ME series moisture exchangers developed by Perma Pure are designed for humidifying or drying industrial gas samples.
The moisture exchangers bring the humidity of a gas into equilibrium with the ambient air almost instantly.
Extremely corrosion resistant, long lasting and with no moving parts, they work continuously without removing analyte gases or slowing response times of analysers.
ME series moisture exchangers use Nafion membrane tubing to exchange water vapour between the gas stream and the surrounding atmosphere, creating equilibrium.
Requiring no power, they can dry samples that are near condensing and too humid for analysis, or humidify samples such as calibration gases that are too dry for use straight from the tank.
A sample can be near condensing due to its treatment, such as being bubbled through water, or combusted.
Examples include mercury analysis and total organic carbon measurement.
A sample can also be near condensing due to its source, such as a landfill or a wastewater treatment plant.
In contrast, a gas from a tank or a very dry environment may require the addition of water in order to achieve accurate analysis.
For example, unless water is added to calibration gases the analyser may read subsequent real-world samples containing water incorrectly.
ME series moisture exchangers ensure the humidity of a gas either rises or falls to ambient level almost instantly.
They are available exclusively from Perma Pure and its distributors.
