"Hach Lange is growing very quickly, both organically and through acquisitions such as Danfoss Analytical, and that is why we need to invest in high calibre individuals"
Hach Lange announces three new appointments that will help boost the company's service to its customers.
Terry Bailey has joined as service manager, and will be responsible for the provision of after sales service for the company's laboratory, portable and online wastewater, drinking water and process water analytical equipment.
Bailey comes to Hach Lange following 15 years as service manager for Severn Trent Services.
He is a graduate of the Open University and says that his overall objective is "to provide a quality of customer service that is second to none in the industry, and consistent with the levels of excellence associated with the name Hach Lange".
Sarah Blayds has joined as marketing communications specialist, and will be responsible for the company's marketing activities.
She is experienced in marketing to the utilities, IT, and telecomms sectors and has recently completed a diploma in marketing.
Blayds is keen to increase Hach Lange's dialogue with its customers and plans to achieve this in a variety of ways including an expansion in the number and quality of product updates, datasheets and application notes that are available online.
Helen Dennen joins as technical support specialist.
There will be three key aspects to Dennen's work.
First, to help customers choose the most appropriate instruments and reagents; second to run technical training workshops; and third to provide a troubleshooting service for customers with product or application queries.
Dennen has a first class applied honours degree in chemistry and has six years of industrial laboratory experience with Zeneca (now Astra Zeneca) and a further two years with United Utilities, which provided her with both practical experience in the operation of Hach Lange instruments and with an insight into the needs of the water industry.
Commenting on the new appointments, Darin Stell, who is responsible for Hach Lange's business in the UK, said: "Hach Lange is growing very quickly, both organically and through acquisitions such as Danfoss Analytical, and that is why we need to invest in high calibre individuals with the skills and experience to ensure that our customers receive outstanding levels of service."
