Sionex has been named a Rising Star, a special designation for fast-growth technology companies, in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 programme for New England
Sionex, a high technology company focused on commercialising breakthrough chemical and biological sensor chips and systems based on its proprietary MicroDMx detection technology, has been named a 'rising star' in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 programme for New England.
The Rising Star award is a special designation for fast-growth technology companies that have been in business three to four years and are part of the New England Technology Fast 50 programme, which ranks the fifty fastest growing technology companies headquartered in New England.
Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over three years (2002 to 2004).
This year's New England Technology Fast 50 programme is co-presented by Deloitte and Touche and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.
"We are honoured and pleased to be recognised by Deloitte as a Rising Star for our strong performance," said Wes Davis, president and CEO of Sionex.
"We look forward to continued strong top line growth in the coming year as more OEM companies such as Thermo Electron and Varian incorporate Sionex's MicroDMx products into their latest detection systems for defence, homeland security, and industrial applications".
Conceived at the Charles Stark Draper laboratory and exclusively licenced to Sionex for commercialisation, the MicroDMx sensor is a chip-based Mems technology capable of detecting a wide variety of chemical and biological compounds with unsurpassed sensitivity and selectivity.
