At the Powtech (11-13 October 2005, Nurnberg), Norres Schlauchtechnik presents new hose constructions.
It says the PUR 335 special hose meets almost all requirements if high quality, flexibility and load carrying ability are needed.
Made from premium ether-polyurethane (Pre-PUR) available in diameters from 80 to 600mm, the extremely flexible and abrasion-proof hose is also vibration resistant.
These qualities make it especially suitable for use in screening machines, vibrating screening machines and tumbler screening machines.
With a smooth interior and optimised flow properties the hose can be used in applications where a transport hose for a temperature range from -40C to +100C is needed that is also microbe and hydrolysis resistant, softener and halogen free, gas and liquid tight, with good resistance to mineral oils, chemicals, UV and ozone and that can be delivered with customer-specific product marking and partial colouring.
Because of the high tensile strength and tear resistance it can also be used as a bellow or compensator.
The 355 MHF variant: for food and pharmaceutical products, maximum hygiene is very important.
Production methods using either welding or adhesion along the axis have the disadvantage of leaving dead spaces within the hose where deposits lead to the danger of contamination.
With the special hose PUR 335 MHF this problem was solved: spiral welding and the lack of ridges in the welding area allow for an optimal smooth interior.
The complete hose is approved according to EC guideline 2002/72/EC.
Therefore the hose can be used in a variety of applications in the food and pharmaceutical industry in a temperature range from -40C to +90C.
The hose is odourless and tasteless and has a good resistance to chemicals, UV and ozone.
The low temperature flexibility is better than hoses made of ester-polyurethane and a grounding wire allows for electro-static discharge.
