Chiltern International has announced that its EDC group has been short listed for best supporting role award in the first ever Scrip Pharmaceutical Industry Awards
The forthcoming Scrip Awards 2005 were developed in conjunction with a group of high-profile pharmaceutical industry leaders, many of who will also serve on the independent judging panel.
The categories and their criteria were designed to encourage applications from individuals, teams or companies who can demonstrate a commitment to excellence above and beyond the norm.
To be considered for the best supporting role category, the EDC team had to submit a 1000-word nomination detailing their work and had to provide supporting documentation.
"This is a tremendous achievement for the group," commented Karen Roy, global head of EDC.
"To be recognised as essential support for the successful implementation of EDC is our key goal, and this award demonstrates this emphatically.
"Our support is two-fold: for sponsors in their selection and implementation of EDC and for the relationship between project teams and their investigator sites through improving the sites' experience with EDC, with a focus on successful implementation and training.
"Being short-listed for this award is a credit to the core team who got EDC off the ground - Debra Jendrasek in the USA and Lynne Mackenzie and Tim Boyes in the UK".
The process will culminate in the awards night to be held at London's Grosvenor House on 7 December 2005.
