These new data loggers provide a cost-effective way to measure and record voltage signals onto any PC or laptop (Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP or later) with a USB port
Pico Technology announces the latest additions to its data acquisition range, the ADC-20 and ADC-24 USB data loggers.
With up to 24-bit resolution to detect small signal changes, 0.1% accuracy for reliable readings and up to 16 channels, these data loggers offer superb performance in a convenient and easy-to-use package.
The USB port provides easy connection and installation, and eliminates the need for an external power supply.
The new data loggers provide a cost-effective way to measure and record voltage signals onto any PC or laptop (Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP or later) with a USB port.
When used with PicoLog data logging software, the units can sample up to one million readings at selectable sampling rates, for real-time viewing or storage on hard disk for later analysis.
The ADC-20 offers four differential channels for maximum accuracy, which can also be used as eight single channels for greater flexibility; while the ADC-24 has eight differential channels which can also be used as 16 single-ended channels.
The inputs have seven programmable voltage ranges to interface with a wide range of signals and sensors.
All analogue inputs are overload protected to +/-30V, and differential inputs are galvanically isolated to eliminate ground noise.
Both units have +/-5V outputs to power sensors, and the ADC-24 additionally features four digital input/output lines.
Up to four units can be used at once with PicoLog, or with a customer's own software and Pico's driver.
An optional terminal board is available that accepts sensor wires without the need for soldering, and provides space for simple circuitry.
Alan Tong, technical director at Pico Technology, comments: "In the ADC-20 and ADC-24, we have combined high-precision measurement with the latest PC interface technology.
"These units are USB-enabled and PC-based, for maximum convenience, and their high resolution and accuracy put them at the leading edge of measurement instrumentation".
Both models are available immediately direct from Pico Technology or any authorised Pico distributor.
The data loggers start at £199, with the optional terminal board available for an extra £25.
