The laser modules measure just 25.5mm in length, with a diameter of only 8mm and are extremely efficient and reliable at an affordable price
BFi Optilas, pan European distributor of Photonic Products, announces the launch of a new range of economical, compact, 8mm diameter, laser diode modules for customers requiring a small laser module to be integrated into systems and handheld instrumentation where space is at a premium.
The laser modules measure just 25.5mm in length, with a diameter of only 8mm and are extremely efficient and reliable at an affordable price.
Output power of up to 4.5mW is available.
Operating voltage is from 3V to 6VDC.
Beam divergence is less than 1mrad and operating temperature range is -10C to +40C.
The laser modules consist of a brass housing, laser diode, drive circuit and adjustable collimating or focusing lens.
The lens may be adjusted to produce either a collimated beam or focused spot.
Typical applications are targeting, industrial alignment such as pre-press plate alignment and laser alignment for label and wrapper cutting machinery, and medical applications such as patient positioning.
For applications requiring electrical isolation of the laser module housing, a hard anodised aluminium housing version of this compact laser module is available.
