Phil Rawlings gains the reward of the Cyth by becoming the first engineer outside of America and the fourth engineer worldwide to achieve Certified TestStand Architect status
National Instruments UK and Ireland has announced that Phil Rawlings, technical director of Cyth Systems UK, a National Instruments Alliance Partner, has become the first engineer outside of America and the fourth engineer worldwide to achieve Certified TestStand Architect status.
This is the highest level of NI TestStand certification available.
NI Certification is a professional qualification that validates technical growth and skill in using NI products.
In particular the achievement recognises Rawlings's experience in manufacturing test principles and meeting manufacturing test system needs.
The Certification also signifies Rawlings's mastery of the NI TestStand architecture and its customisations to provide complex and comprehensive test solutions.
"This Certification will certainly provide Cyth Systems with a competitive edge in their market" said Rebecca Sherwood, customer education manager at National Instruments.
"The achievement also emphasises the commitment Cyth has shown in the USA and Europe in working with NI to bring their system development and architecture skills to the highest level".
National Instruments offers certifications for Labview, LabWindows/CVI and NI TestStand.
The Associate Developer, Developer and Architect levels represent basic, advanced and expert skills with NI products.
"Phil Rawlings's achievement in becoming the first Certified TestStand Architect outside of the USA has a significant impact on our company mission.
"Cyth Systems continue to push the concepts of making 'code-reuse' a reality, non-programming ATE achievable, and driving down the cost of these systems by increasing the utilisation of Cots (commercial-off-the-shelf technology).
This certification is the most rigorous NI offers and validates not only Rawlings's technical and software knowledge, but also his ability to design and architect the right test system for small or large applications" said Joe Spinozzi, director of marketing at Cyth Systems.
"All of Cyth's technical personnel are certified developers in Labview, NI TestStand, or both".
Cyth Systems helps clients assemble custom measurement, control and automation systems across a wide range of industry sectors.
Applications include manufacturing test, validation, laboratory research, and embedded devices.
Focusing on tools from National Instruments such as Labview, NI TestStand and SignalExpress and complementing them with an extensive catalogue of hardware and software, Cyth adds value by eliminating programming and risk, to help clients complete complex projects without large expense.
Coupled with this, Cyth also closes the loop between test and design, through efficient data collection, storage, mining and visualisation.
Cyth's services can be completely tailored to client requirements, from consulting services through to complete turn-key hardware and software integrated systems.
