AMETEK Brookfield showcase new and enhanced instrumentation at Pittcon 2017
30 Jan 2017
Pittcon, the Pittsburgh Conference & Exposition, is the world’s leading annual conference on laboratory science. Held this year in Chicago between March 5th and 9th it attracts industrial, academic and governmental attendees from over 90 different countries. Pittcon therefore provides the ideal forum for AMETEK Brookfield to show new and enhanced instruments from their ranges of viscometers, rheometers, texture analysers and powder flow testers.
Brookfield have been a world leader in laboratory and online viscosity control for over 80 years and following their acquisition in 2016 by AMETEK - a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices - they continue to build and expand.
Instruments and equipment on show at Pittcon illustrate AMETEK Brookfield’s expansion into even greater ranges of applications and industries including inks, paints, coatings, solvents, adhesives, petroleum products, plastics, health, cosmetics, packaging and food production.
The DV3T Rheometer is a sophisticated rheometer with easy-to-use intuitive controls. A 7-inch full colour touch screen displays all test parameters along with measured values for yield stress, viscosity and temperature. The on screen graphing allows real-time test data that can be captured in stand-alone mode, recorded on a printer or sent directly to your PC. The Brookfield RST Rheometer has new and enhanced features that permit increased measuring and control capabilities while carrying out a sophisticated rheological analysis at an affordable price.
Their DV2T Viscometer is AMETEK Brookfield’s most versatile Viscometer and they have given it a new look that features a 5-inch colour display to guide users through test creation and data gathering for even faster viscosity measurements. The CT3 Texture Analyser is a low cost, but powerful, universal testing machine that offers both compression and tensile testing.
The CT3 can calculate, through compression and tensile data, a number of physical properties that have proven to be highly correlated to human sensory evaluation of food and other consumer products. It is easy-to-operate and AMETEK Brookfield’s have designed it so you can have your R&D and QC up and running in minimum time.
The Brookfield PFT Powder Flow Tester can deliver rapid analysis of powder flow behaviour in a variety of industrial processing equipment; ideal for manufacturers who process powders regularly and want to minimise downtime expense.
