Schneider Children's Medical Centre of Israel, which cares for children and adolescents from around the world, has bought an Olympus AU680 clinical chemistry analyser.
The analyser was selected by the hospital because of its high sensitivity and low blood sample volume, which minimises the amount of blood needed to be taken from babies and children.
Dr Yaffa Aurbach, manager and founder of the Schneider Children's multi-disciplinary laboratory, said: 'Due to the variety of tests that can be performed on the AU680, including substrates, enzymes, specific proteins, TDM and immunoassays, it will complete 80 per cent of our required tests.'
