Four models fulfill tasks in analytical and biotechnological applications, such as ion chromatography, HPLC, cell culture, protein purification or in-vitro fertilisation
Back as early in 2001 Sartorius started successfully expanding its product portfolio with the Arium laboratory water purification systems.
Since then, the systems designed for laboratory applications have undergone continuous further development, thereby guaranteeing the user ultrapure water quality while keeping costs low.
Each of the four different models is optimally suited to fulfill the various tasks in analytical and biotechnological applications, such as ion chromatography (IC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), cell culture, protein purification or in-vitro fertilisation.
Alongside their user-friendliness, these systems are characterised by very variable assembly options: some of the standard solutions include wall or bench mounting or having the unit built into laboratory furnishings.
The series has now been extended with the new Arium Tower that combines the individual systems into one unit.
The Arium Tower is a flexible, stand-alone and compact laboratory water dispensing station made of stainless steel with an integrated reverse osmosis system, pressure tank, TOC unit and an arium ultrapure laboratory water purification system.
It is optimally suited for the stand-alone production of both ultrapure water and RO water.
Thanks to its unique design, a connection to the mains current, an appropriate water supply and a drain are all that are needed.
With this special workstation, you only need single system to meet the demands for reagent grade as well as purified water.
The compact design saves space in the laboratory while allowing the user easy access to all key components.
This also facilitates all routine servicing work and allows effortless filter cartridge exchange.
Arium 611 ultrapure water systems.
With the Arium product family, Sartorius says it has satisfied the different requirements demanded by numerous complex tasks.
What all systems have in common is the superior water quality: Arium ultrapure water systems guarantee ultrapure water quality in terms of TOC and endotoxin content.
Depending on the design, extremely low TOC levels of <4ppb to <1ppb can be achieved.
For example, with its unique carbon-resin combination in conjunction with an UV oxidation chamber and an ultrafiltration module, the Arium 611VF system can produce ultrapure water with an endotoxin content < 0.001EU/ml and TOC level <1ppb.
Besides producing outstanding water quality, the system is distinguished by the low outlay it requires for consumables and the timesavings achieved in servicing, maintenance and care.
The UV lamp has to be replaced once a year. Similarly, the cartridges are constructed in such a way that they only have to be changed once a year when conventional ultrapure water is used.
Even the UF membrane is particularly economical by virtue of its large filter surface and the crossflow technology. All systems in the Arium product series have identical dimensions.
The user can also choose from an extensive range of accessories, such as the TOC analyser, remote dispenser or printer.
Sartorius also offers complete IQ/OQ for all arium systems specifically aimed at meeting the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.
