Anton Paar is claiming a significant breakthrough in the minimum torque levels that can be measured with its MCR rheometers.
The company’s products are constantly being improved by a dedicated development team, who work continuously to advance the rheometers’ core components.
A level of 1 nNm can nowbe achieved in rotational tests, while 0.5 nNm can be achieved in strain-sweep oscillatory experiments.
The improvement has been made possible by applying the technology developed for the TwinDrive system to the controller at the core of every MCR motor.
New production processes have also been implemented with the opening of the new assembly hall at the headquarters in Graz/Austria, where all high-precision instruments from Anton Paar are now manufactured.
The developments mean that the entire MCR series can now provide results of even greater precision, which is reflected in a new set of specifications.
