Device measures the degBrix and CO2 content of non-alcoholic beverages directly out of the bottle or can
Analysts can now measure Brix and CO2 directly out of cans or bottles with the new Packaged Beverage Analyser from Anton Paar.
The device measures the degBrix and CO2 content of non-alcoholic beverages directly out of the bottle or can.
Time-consuming sample preparation is no longer required.
The new PBA/S is a combination of a density meter (DMA 4500 or DMA 5000), the carbonation meter CarboQC and the semiautomatic PFD filling device.
The filling device can be easily adapted to a wide range of different kinds of cans and bottles (glass or PET up to 3litre) and is safe and easy to operate.
No pre-thermostatting is required.
A single button press initiates the filling and measurement sequence, drawing in 120-150ml of sample into the PBA/S Packaged Beverage Analyser.
After two to three minutes the results can be read on the display, printed out or transferred via Lims.
The new PBA/S is not only faster but also more accurate than all other routine analysis systems, says Anton Paar, because many sources of error from sample preparation are completely excluded.
