New industrial interfaces, now available in the UK from Metrix Electronics, offer cost-effective conversion of fieldbus or ethernet data to standard serial standards
These compact Din-rail mounting Miface interfaces are available to convert Profibus-DP, InterBus, Canopen or ethernet TCP/IP data into electrically isolated RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial data.
The input/output data width is freely selectable up to 200 bytes.
Housed in rugged 100x87mm metal modules for 35mm top-hat Din specification rail mounting, these interface modules only require a 24V, 150mA DC power supply.
Configuration is by Dip selector switches and built-in LEDs provide status and diagnostic indications.
