Capable of increasing productivity by a factor of ten over conventional dynamic light scattering (DLS) instruments, with increased throughput in HTS and biophysical characterisation studies
Wyatt Technology announces the launch of its innovative new DynaPro Titan plate reader.
Capable of increasing productivity by a factor of ten over conventional DLS instruments, this revolutionary product provides increased throughput in HTS and biophysical characterisation studies and can be fully integrated with Wyatt's Dynamics software, says the company.
The DynaPro Titan plate reader is a stable, automated addition to its current DLS systems.
Achieving superior performance, DynaPro Titan cuts down sample times from approximately 15 minutes per sample to just one minute - or less - with fewer than 50 microlitres of sample per well (recoverable).
In the case of the 1536 well plate format, the sample volume required is just 5microliters.
This 'groundbreaking' instrument is capable of performing a broad range of applications quickly and easily, including bioprocessing and quality control of viral particles and vaccines, screening chemical compounds for small molecule aggregation or potential promiscuous inhibitors and exploring antibody formulations over a broad range of solution conditions.
The DynaPro Plate Reader utilises state-of-the-art technology and can be equipped with industry standard microplates (96, 384 or 1536 well plates).
Being non-invasive and filter-free, this new product is particularly easy to use and can be customised to interface with a variety of laboratory robotic systems.
It is operated using Dynamics, a data collection and analysis software tuned specifically for batch and automated characterisation of unfractionated molecular samples.
The DynaPro DLS products are used globally in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, university and government-funded R+D laboratories, to understand the physical attributes of purified protein molecules.
The products make it much easier to characterise protein homogeneity.
Acquired during Wyatt's acquisition of Proterion/Protein Solutions in November 2004, the DynaPro dynamic light scattering (DLS) products are said to be the industry standard in the protein crystallisation market.
The products are Wyatt Technology's first integrated solution for batch dynamic light scattering and are its primary offering in the important field of high throughput screening.
With installations in more than 50 countries, Wyatt Technology claims to be the world's leading manufacturer of laser light scattering instrumentation for absolute macromolecular characterisation.
It is the only company in the world focused exclusively on such systems, their design and their application.
