Nickel-Electro, the UK-based manufacturer of the popular Clifton range of temperature control equipment, will be exhibiting a wide range of its groundbreaking products at Achema 2006 (15-19 May)
Nickel-Electro will be showing two shallow form baths from the Clifton unstirred baths series.
The NE1-9 and NE2-9D are perfect for heating small height samples such as micro tubes and trays.
They are also ideal for heating samples in microcentrifuge tubes and for other molecular-biology procedures.
Visitors will also be able to see both stirred and unstirred digital water baths with new front panel layouts.
To aid the operator, these now feature clearly visible LED displays suitable for all lighting conditions and single point temperature control with the additional feature of a process timer.
The Nickel-Electro stand will be the place to see the newly extended range of unheated ultrasonic baths, which now includes three new sizes - the MU-8, MU-14 and the MU-22.
These have been introduced in response to requests for larger sizes from both customers and distributors.
Unheated Ultrasonic Baths are ideal for the routine cleaning of delicate or fragile components and glassware such as test tubes, where there is a risk of breakage when manual cleaning takes place.
Other applications include sonochemistry, degassing liquids for HPLC work and disruption of cells.
Also on show will be the NE6-FC Flow Chiller.
Designed to pump and cool fluids, the unit consists of a temperature controller, reservoir, refrigeration system and high-tech pump.
Its flow-in and flow-out pipes make it ideal for processes that need water to be at a constant cooled temperature below ambient.
This design also makes the NE6-FC environmentally friendly and offers a cost saving by not using a constant flow of tap water.
Two more new products on show at Achema will be the MSH-1S and the MSH-1SD stainless steel hob Magnetic Stirrers.
Robustly constructed and designed for a long and durable life, the new low mass, corrosion resistant stainless steel hobs provide rapid energy transfer and heat up times whilst reducing energy consumption.
The clearly visible LED display suits all lighting conditions.
Nickel-Electro will also be showing a selection from the newly introduced PTFE Xylan coated range of spatulas, tongs, forceps and beakers.
PTFE Xylan provides a non-stick surface to which only very few solid or liquid substances permanently adhere.
In addition to its non-stick qualities, the coating offers a unique combination of chemical inertness, purity, low permeability, heat resistance and toughness.
Melvin Dickson, Managing Director of Nickel-Electro says: "Our research and development programme is always looking for ways to improve our range by designing new products and improving existing ones".
"We hope that all visitors to Achema visit the Nickel-Electro stand to see for themselves."
