Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (BVCPS) has extended its tog testing capabilities with a brand new state-of-the-art tog testing apparatus
The new apparatus has been custom built to cater for specific customer requirements and can be used for testing quilts of all sizes from single to king size.
BVCPS has introduced this tog testing service in response to the growing industry demand for a quicker and more reliable service than what has generally been available in the UK To provide customers with full confidence in its results, BVCPS's new apparatus is calibrated with recognised tog reference standards and is also regularly re-checked using internal 'reference' materials to ensure ongoing consistency of results.
The new rig allows BVCPS to offer customers quicker turnaround times - automated operation enables tests to be carried out over a 24 hour period and contributes to the quicker and more reliable results.
It is housed in a purpose-built conditioned room and quilts can be conditioned hung or flat.
Another new apparatus is currently under development which will be specifically used for baby duvets and sleeping bags.
John Morris, regional manager of Softlines Europe at BVCPS, comments: "At BVCPS we pride ourselves on providing our customers with the very best service possible by listening to their wants and needs".
"The demand for a quicker and more reliable tog testing service in the industry is massive and we have responded to this by developing a rig which provides customers with exactly what they require - a quicker and more efficient service."
