Hiden Analytical announces the release of their latest development, the Programmable Signal Gating Module, an integrated hardware, firmware and software solution for time-resolved events.
This provides a significant enhancement to the 7U series of quadrupole mass-energy analysers from Hiden and can be supplied with new instruments or retro-fitted to existing instruments.
This is designed to give a new dimension to data gathering from pulse plasma diagnostics and timed surface science applications.
The module consists of a 7U firmware and hardware unit and the latest version of Massoft which allows full control over gate / delay / foreground / background / invert with 0.1us resolution.
With the spread of pulse plasma techniques this gives an excellent advantage in analysing the plasma and enabling optimisation.
Main features of the module include; software gate control for data acquisition within a user defined time slice of a pulse cycle.
Integral variable gate control delay for automatic data acquisition of a user defined time slice through the pulse cycle.
Foreground and background data channels for simultaneous data acquisition of appearance potential beam-to-background signals in modulated molecular beam studies.
