Young Calibration offers the users of relative humidity sensors a quick and economical way to calibrate their units without the need for sub-contracting them to an external laboratory
Using proven in house laboratory methods and equipment, namely the HumGen portable humidity calibrator, calibration personnel from Young Calibration will provide a cost effective on-site calibration service.
Using the portable calibrator, sensors can be calibrated either by installing them within the calibrator on a closely located test bench or using the remote interconnecting chamber.
Providing the sensor tip can be located, the remote chamber is fitted around the probe tip and the sensor can then be calibrated in-situ, negating any requirements for sensor removal.
The calibrators own external pumping system provides the circulation of the conditioned air up to the remote chamber head.
The calibration conditions are precisely maintained and controlled by the HumGen Calibrator in a three litre thermally stable chamber or using the remote chamber head.
Temperature conditions of 20-40C can be controlled within the chamber to +/-0.1C and a humidity range of 10-90% RH, using a closed loop feedback system.
The calibrator chamber can comfortably house up to five humidity sensors using the pre-machined interchangeable lids.
The calibrator requires only a single phase power supply at the site location, and a suitable desk or bench.
An overall system uncertainty of 3% RH value can be provided with the system, with a five point calibration taking around 1 hr, dependant upon probe stabilisation periods.
Along with Young Calibration's other on-site calibration services, of pressure, temperature, mass, flow and electrical, this latest addition provides end users with an extensive range of mobile on-site calibration services.
