Ceram, a supplier of technical, manufacturing and business consultancy services to the global ceramics industry, has secured a major deal with the HuaXia Ceramic Technical Centre
Having collaborated with HuaXia back in 2003 to establish an approved test centre at the HuaXia Ceramic Exposition City in Guangdong Province, Ceram has now extended its collaboration agreement to include provision of the company's full suite of consultancy services.
Chinese manufacturers will now have access to the following Ceram facilities: marketing consultancy, CE Marking services, specialised technological and managerial training, product quality improvement programmes, advice on cost reduction initiatives and consultancy services relating to the reduction of environmental impact.
Graham Small, manager of the Ceram-HuaXia collaboration, is delighted to have the opportunity to build on the foundations created by the formation of the test centre.
He comments: "Setting up the approved test centre was an important first step as it provided a facility for local manufacturers to demonstrate compliance with international product quality standards.
"With access to Ceram consultancy services, Chinese manufacturers can now develop their business further still by achieving international standards in all aspects of the manufacturing process.
In particular we hope that our services will help manufacturers in developing greener production processes, in line with developments throughout Europe." A dedicated marketing and sales team, jointly managed by Ceram and HuaXia, will be based at the HuaXia centre.
