Based on client demand, iAdvantage Software, provider of software for managing development and pre-clinical life science studies, will offer its web-based eStudy management software as hosted solution
"We simply listened," stated Fate Thompson, president and CEO of iAdvantage.
"Small to mid-sized pharmaceutical companies and CROs want to transition to electronic study management (eSM) systems to improve data communication and increase productivity, but at their own pace".
"Some fast, some slow, but both want minimal impact with regard to transitional downtime and expense".
"All want full functionality with global access 24/7".
"They've asked for flexibility and scalability without the in-house IT investment and high cost-of-entry".
"Hosted eStudy was created to empower small to mid-sized pharmas and CROs with the same functionality, security and support our larger clients, who have eStudy installed on-site, are used to".
Hosted eStudy clients will not only gain full access to eStudy, a truly web-based, feature-rich study management solution which includes study design, e-notebook design, data collection, data analysis and data reporting, but will be supported by globally-recognized back-end training and network operation centers (that would otherwise be cost-prohibitive for them in-house) to manage their data storage, security, redundancy and auditable validation (all within a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant environment) with training and full help desk support.
"We have carefully selected service providers who have a track record supporting multi-national pharmaceutical companies," said Thompson.
"Our small and mid-sized clients are faced with time and cost demands today like never before".
"Most know that an electronic study management system is the solution and getting there piece by piece could just cause more headaches later", said Larry Laws, VP sales and marketing for iAdvantage.
"Hosted eStudy offers clients a fully-integrated solution under a monthly service plan eliminating up-front software site-license fees, software installation, additional IT hardware and personnel expense yet includes secure off-site hosting, support and training on all of the functionality of eStudy".
"Small and mid-sized Pharmas and CROs now have an option they can trust to make the transition to electronic study management painlessly".
"Following training on eStudy, clients simply go to the web-site, log-in and begin".
"It's just that easy," said Laws.
iAdvantage will launch eStudy as a hosted solution on 1 June 2006.
iAdvantage says it creates value for its clients by improving data communication, productivity, real-time business intelligence and time to market.
This is achieved through the use of the company's electronic study management software for development and pre-clinical life science studies (pharmaceutical and biotechnology).
With eStudy, scientists increase their productivity in study design, eNotebook design, data collection, data analysis and data reporting while saving time, money and maintaining data integrity (complying with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations).
iAdvantage is headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, near the life science and biotech hub of Research Triangle Park.
More than 140 life science companies in North America and Europe use the company's products in their research and development.
