Picosorb has developed a new optimised fungi and bacteria lysis agent which co-lysis tough fungi in the presence of easy to lyse bacteria
This means that if nucleic acid is required for microbial identification from an unknown mixture then only one extraction is required.
Moreover it has combined the lysis process with a magnetic bead nucleic acid extraction process.
The process can be automated using the Picosorb QuatroProbe and 48 samples can be processed in a run.
The chemistry is organised in microplate compatible cartridges so that the extracted nucleic acid is accessible with multi-probe pipettes.
The QuatroProbe is an ideal companion to a real time PCR system used in a routine diagnostic laboratory.
