Sierra Cal-Soft software allows the operator of Litre Meter's Cal-TrakT SL-800 to perform fully automatic calibrations on flow meters and controllers for gases
Sierra Cal-Soft software has been primarily designed to be used with Sierra Instruments's Cal-Trak in combination with the Sierra 100 series gas mass flowmeters/controllers, but other models and makes of gas flow meters can also be certified.
The Cal-Trak primary gas calibrator is available with either an uncertainty of 0.35% or 0.15%, depending on the application, and communicates with the Cal-Soft computer program using RS232.
The highly advanced 100 series gas mass flowmeters/controllers have many communication options but in this setup it communicates to the Cal-Soft software again using the standard RS232 communication port built into all units.
The Sierra 100 series flowmeters and controllers have the unique ability to have ten different gases programmed into the unit, but only require one gas calibration to be carried out.
This means that once the unit has been calibrated using the Cal-Trak primary gas calibrator and Cal-Soft software, on in general air or nitrogen, multiple calibrations are not required.
The Cal-Soft software is supplied as standard with all Cal-Trak SL-800 and SL-500 primary gas calibrators at no cost to the customer.
The resulting system brings multiple benefits to its user and will not allow any detrimental modifications to the MFMs or MFCs during the calibration process.
