Caliper Life Sciences' new workstations are designed to perform fully automated sample preparation for common pharmaceutical development and quality assurance tests in a regulatory compliant manner
Caliper Life Sciences has announced a new generation of Tablet and Active Ingredient Processing Workstations, known as TPW3 and APW3.
The workstations are designed to perform fully automated sample preparation for common pharmaceutical development and quality assurance tests in a regulatory compliant manner.
Developed by Caliper in close collaboration with key customers, the TPW3 and APW3 increase walk-away time so analysts can accomplish more.
The new systems improve the robustness of sample preparation, which upgrades the overall quality of the analysis.
The TPW3 and APW3 improve the quality of both routine and complex sample preparations, and feature completely updated hardware, software, firmware and electronics.
Additionally, the workstations offer the following capabilities: * Precise control of technique-dependent steps, such as dispersing or extracting, eliminates analyst technique as a source of variability.
* Serial processing assures the timing of method steps; wait time between injections is identical from sample to sample.
* Table-top format saves laboratory space and enhances usability.
* Enhanced method flexibility broadens application set.
* Gravimetric confirmation assures liquid dispense accuracy and precision.
* Exceeds ATSM and USP requirements for volumetric delivery, precision and accuracy.
"By using a customer participation model, Caliper has developed a product with the design input of a custom engineering product and the long term costs and benefits of an off-the-shelf product," commented Dale VonBehren, Pharmaceutical Development Products Marketing Manager at Caliper.
"The highly automated nature of this equipment frees up lab analysts, allowing them to focus on other, more critical challenges."
