Syrris have announced the expansion of their calorimetry team with the appointment of Patrick Sears as product specialist
Patrick Sears joins with a strong background and reputation in this increasingly important scientific discipline.
Previously a calorimetry specialist at Thermal Hazard Technology, he also studied under leading expert Prof Blackmond at the University of Hull and has published and lectured extensively on the use of small-scale reaction calorimetry for detailed analysis of reaction kinetics.
Commercial director Richard Gray says Sears's appointment marks an important step in Syrris's development: "Having established ourselves in the drug discovery market with the Africa microflow reactor range, we are now looking to build on the success of the Lara controlled lab reactor system with the Coflux Calorimeter".
"Already we are receiving a great deal of interest, not just from chemists, but also for example from life scientists who see the potential that calorimetry offers across a wider application range".
"We are therefore delighted that Patrick is joining us at this exciting time".
"He has an excellent reputation in both Europe and the US and we are sure he will make a valuable contribution to our growth."
