Knaresborough UK-based Saffron Scientific Equipment announces the promotion of Andrew Lees from technical director to managing director
Specialising in the design, development and manufacture of standard, custom built gloveboxes and dry anaerobic containment systems for the storage, handling and processing of hazardous and toxic substances, Saffron's new managing director is concentrating the company's efforts on newly identified market potential, both at home and on a global basis.
A mechanical and production engineering graduate, Lees has held a number of key technical positions within the GSPK group over the last 16 years having joined the company in 1990.
Andrew has been a key influence and director of Saffron Scientific Equipment since its purchase and relocation from Didcot to the GSPK Technology Park in September 2003.
Lees brings to this role a wealth of technical and engineering expertise as well as drive and ambition for the development of the existing product range and the growth of new product development into the scientific research, industrial and nuclear industries.
Andrew Lees said: "I am delighted with my recent new appointment.
"With a dedicated focus on continuing the company's growth potential through the advancement of the existing product range and the growth of new product development, I am confident that Saffron will be able to service not only existing markets, but also penetrate and develop new ones."
