Icon announces that Melton Affrime has been appointed to the position of senior vice president, global clinical pharmacology
Melton Affrime comes to Icon with over 23 years of demonstrated success in global pharmaceutical development.
In his new role he will take global responsibility for Icon Development Solutions clinical pharmacology activities.

"He brings a wealth of experience across multiple therapeutic areas and technical disciplines, which will prove invaluable in supporting the continued growth and development of our clinical pharmacology services." Affrime was a co-founder of the Hahnemann clinical pharmacology research unit and was most recently global head, profiling, clinical pharmacology at Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
Prior to this he was vice president of clinical pharmacology at Schering-Plough research institute and has held a number of other senior positions in both commercial and medical organizations.
He received his PharmD degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.
