Robotic platforms (BattleKits for robot competitions) are lightweight, ruggedised, fully-assembled mobile robots that can be used for a variety of applications
Available in four different sizes, the platform dimensions range from 16 to 30inches in length and from 26 to 90 pounds in weight.
The payload capacity ranges up to 600pounds for the largest units.
All four models feature sturdy construction on a heavy-duty extruded aluminum frame and a very low profile (just 4.4inches).
Optional batteries, powerful motors, and custom AmpFlow speed controllers are available for each size in this series.
These mobile robots can be remotely controlled by connecting an aftermarket radio control to the AmpFlow controllers or they can be computer controlled with the simple, built-in computer interface.
The robotic platforms can be easily modified for use in a wide range of industrial, educational, and laboratory applications.
They are ideal for use in environments that require remote guidance or sensing such as hazardous substance handling or materials management in manufacturing.
They are also well suited as tools for development of robotic sensing and intelligence technologies in the lab and as educational tools in the classroom.
Other applications include automatic guided vehicles (AGVs), military, industrial, and competitive robotics as well as customized motion-control systems for TV broadcast and film production.
Prices range from US$499 for the smallest, two-wheel drive unit up to US$899 for the largest, 4WD mobile robot.
