RTS Life Science, a pharmaceutical automation specialist, has been honoured by Rospa (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents), with a gold award for occupational health and safety
This the second year running that the company, which is based in Irlam, near Manchester, has achieved the top level in these prestigious awards.
Anthea Beaty, RTS's group health and safety manager, commented: "At RTS, the lead in health and safety comes very much from the top.
"Not only did all the project managers gain qualifications from the Construction Industry Training Board, but also Gary Walsh, the company's MD, passed the exams for the Institution for Safety and Health course for senior executives.
"However, I think the credit should go to everyone at RTS Life Science, as without them we wouldn't have built up the necessary unblemished record to win the gold award for two consecutive years."
