EurekaSpot reports a milestone as active user listings online exceeded 13,000 quality technical products, valued at more than $42 million
How does EurekaSpot work? Sellers list items for free.
Once a buyer orders and makes payment to EurekaSpot, the seller ships the item.
The buyer gets 5 business days to verify item meets advertised specifications.
EurekaSpot pays the seller only when the right of return expires and charges the seller a fixed 8% transaction fee.
If the buyer chooses to return the item, EurekaSpot will refund the buyer once seller receives the return.
EurekaSpot offers all users a free personal store, fresh pre-owned equipment deals, active buyer want list, make-an-offer option, bulk upload for large inventories, and a downloadable toolbar for quick equipment search plus direct access to newly listed and wanted items.
Users have listed products from Agilent, Anritsu, Fluke, Tektronix, Rohde and Schwarz, Fluke Network, Motorola, Leica Microsystems, Aeroflex, Yokogawa, Sun, Hitachi, IFR/Marconi, Sorensen, 3D Medisys Exports, Aus Jena, Reichert Jung, SMT Inspection, Allegiance Healthcare, Bicotest, Foshan Yunsheng Medical Instrument, Microtest, Alaris, Coherent Instruments Division, Keithley, Advantest, HP, Spirent, Adtech/IXIA, Stanford Research, Acterna/JDS Uniphase, W+G, Gigatronics, Lecroy, and more.
"Buyers get what they want or their money back, sellers get paid or their equipment back," said Sherri Willey, EurekaSpot programme manager.
"The technical community wanted a way to sell pre-owned equipment without upfront costs, confusing hurdles and payment risks - now there is one."
