Specially designed to enable clinics and laboratories to easily update their data handling capabilities, the new ABX e-Sat data management module contains all the functions needed to manage results securely and easily from local or remote locations.
Highly compact and user friendly, the ABX e-Sat is a unique concept developed and launched by Horiba ABX which securely connects the stand alone ABX Micros 60 haematology analyser to the LIS, HIS or any network computer.
By simply connecting up to the ABX e-Sat, users of the compact ABX Micros range of haematology analysers, including the ABX Micros 60 of which there are over 20,000 used worldwide, will be able to enhance their data management and traceability capabilities.
This is possible due to the connectivity, increased data storage capacity and other new features provided by the intelligent module.
Combined into this single module are an easy-to-use colour touch screen, printer, barcode reader and a front-facing USB port for connectivity and data saving with ease.
These features enable user and patient identification via either barcode or keyboard input, as well as quality control and reagent management.
Results presentation is also optimised to accommodate various clinical environments.
The ABX e-Sat quality assurance feature provides a simplified view of controls and a 12-month control history, as well as Levey Jennings graphics for performance monitoring.
For rapid and easy access to results, they can be simplified and condensed to display essential values only, whilst detailed results access is still available and can be printed or transferred to the laboratory IT system as required.
A built in search and display engine is also available for up to 1000 archived results on the module itself which can provide a rapid patient history.
By verifying user and patient IDs as well as tracking reagent usage, including alerts to expiration dates and low volumes, the ABX e-Sat provides further security and traceability functions.
A completely intuitive system, the colour touch screen also displays a virtual alphanumeric keyboard when required, for example where additional notes need to be input.
